NICHOLAS ANDRE DANCE THEATER ADDS HULT CENTER TO SPRING TOUR

Eugene, OR—Springing into the air soon will be the New York City based Nicholas Andre Dance Theater, bringing two performances to the Hult Center´s Soreng Theater April 22nd. Sponsored by Eugene´s own Pacific Classical Ballet, the Nicholas Andre Dance Theater will present original, eclectic modern dance works to the delight of both lovers of dance and those new to the world of dance. Founded in 2003 by Nick Seligson-Ross, this young company has earned the opportunity to perform with renowned
companies such as Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater and Dance Theater of Harlem.

Nominated for the Time-Out New York Dance Audience Award, Seligson-Ross has a clear mission: to bring passionate, athletic modern dance to a wide variety of audiences.

In collaboration with NADT, the young dancers of Pacific Classical Ballet will open the show with Brahm´s Suites, an original work in the classical style. Pacific Classical Ballet is the non-profit performing arm of Ballet North West Academy here in Eugene. Artistic Director Michele Major—a former dancer and teacher with San Diego City Ballet—draws inspiration from the beauty and abilities of her young dancers. In Brahm´s Suites, she has created a piece in the classical style which celebrates the youth and beauty of its performers.

Lucky Eugene—audiences will soon have the rare opportunity to enjoy both classical and contemporary dance experiences in one sure-to-dazzle program.

For more information about both Nicholas Andre Dance Theater or Pacific Classical Ballet, call Mark Major at 343-3914 or send e-mail to mark@bnwa.net .
