Cabling
The cables under the station are a mess, and sometimes even c ause trouble. Some issues:
1. Power cables should be separated from signal cables.
2. A powerstrip for people's laptops, cameras, etc. needs to be separate from the permanent wiring, and robust & visible.
3. The cables out the back are too vulnerable to dancers.
4. This could all get integrated into a permanenet table.

Visibility
It's no longer possible to easily see the floor from the DJ station. If we build a table, we could sink some of these components.
The bandstand's monitor speakers are always in the way of visibility ... does it make sense to suspend these? Or box them & put them on the ground, lying down?

Computer
We're still not backing up. It would be nice to back up the playlists & the music. The new macs have back-up software. Can someone look into this? We need to put a second disk in the machine for backup.
The superdrive still often won't eject a disk ... until you shut the system down cold. It reads & burns ok, though.
People are always coming to DJ off their iPods, and want to plug them in to make adjustments. But this doesn't usually work. We need to install PodUtil. A faster mac would help too ... does someone want to try to write Apple for a grant?
